PC/Console game F.E.A.R. and its sequels are an interesting note on gaming. I played this horror FPS game first on PC and thought nice… but when I got to finish it on PS3 I thought it was much better than just “nice”. I like a few different genre’s of games, but I do mostly play JRPG’s. This game has some nice effects in it that it’s make the game a bit more immersive than I thought it would be. I enjoy FPS elements in games quite a bit and this game nails them pretty well. The first F.E.A.R. game has higher user reviews in my internet readings but I haven’t played that game as much as this one for whatever reason… too cheap to buy the first again most likely.
I have played through the first game and I have multiple plays on the 2nd game. I never did try F.E.A.R 3 since most of my readings said that it was not a good one person game, but a pretty good co-op game. I don’t do game reviews because I don’t want to tell you every little things in a summary and my opinion or my “unbiased”. But what I do try to do is remind or inform you of interesting games that are unique or that I play years after original play through.
F.E.A.R. 2 is an interesting game, in that during play you will see some pretty nice effects to mimic the elements of horror while having a solid grounding in regular FPS elements. Try this almost retro game and see survival horror in FPS mode.
